I just recetly bought an 05 duramax and wanted a little more pep in the pedal. I bought a Max Micro Tuner from a friend of mine and noticed a little difference. I only have it on the 2nd tune level which produces about 75 hp. I also have a 5" magnaflow pro series exhaust from the turbo back.Sounds great! I am interested in a good intake system but am afraid of putting to much hp on the allison and cause it to slip. what do you guys think: intake system and exhaust and tuner?, tuner and exhaust?, or just intake and exhaust?...I want to keep the allison for aslong as i can but still have a little more power.

Thanks

well the allison is a good stroung trans but ive seen some blow up after just having an exhaust and intake and another one all stock hold up to 500 rear wheel hp. best thing to do is get rid of the max micro tuner, but the way it goes it intake exhaust then tuner. id check out edge or ppe

My father-in-law has a PPE tuner on his LBZ, and he's been pretty happy with it, and has been happy with their customer service.

i have a banks 6 gun with pda and banks ram air intake and a 5" MBRP exhaust and i leave my truck turned up on the chip all the time and my transmission is great never missed a beat. i would buy a banks ram air intake if i was you if you have a exhaust and programmer your truck isnt breathing like it should it needs more air, and i wouldnt litsen to the guys saying dont buy BANKS stuff because they make the most power of a duramax, They have the fastest duramax in the world

just cause they have the fastest duramax dont mean they are the best also banks costs more for less power, you can get more power with other products for less money
