I just sold my 99 dodge 3500 to a buddy of mine about 4 months ago, and when i sold it it had around 242,000 miles. He owns a pressure washin business, pressure washin wal mart parking lots all over GA and eatern AL. He has 4 pressure washin trailers, one bumper pull, and 3 gooseneck, the longest one 32 feet i think. THese trailers got some massive motors on them and have huge tanks, and when they are full it will make any one ton squat like a 1/2 ton. His employees have put about another 40,000 miles on it, all pullin his 24 ft trailer, and its still runnin strong. He has a 1998.5 ram 3500 flatbed that had over 400,000 miles on it when he rebuilt the motor, it wasnt gonna last much longer with some of the folks that hes had working for him, it was kinda preventive maintainence. That truck has racked up all those miles with an intake, exhaust, edge chip, had 150 horse injectors but now has 100 horse, and pullin the 32 foot trailer.

2005 Dodge Ram 3500 4 Door 4Wd Longbed 6SPD manual, Silverline 4 inch exhaust,K&N Intake, MUCH MUCH MORE to come, one day...when im not so BROKE.....

I just picked up a 1999 F-350 7.3 diesel with 273,000 miles on it. It seems to run just fine. Everything is still rigional on it it has had all of the maintenance done on it.
I put about a thousand miles on it so far. Runs great.Keeping my fingers crossed though.
Any suggestions from you experienced guys I would appreciate though.

just keep up with all fluids, they sell inline oil filters that would keep your oil cleaner longer.7.3L motor is very reliable and keeping up with clean fluids is all that is needed.POWERSTROKE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for answering, would you suggest one brand over another for the filter? and what type of oil? Or it really doesn't matter as long as it remains clean.

Thinking about putting edge stage 2 injectors, banks big head wastegate and s&b cold air intake. Currently i have k&n filter,bd boost fooler, and hypertech power programmer on the dodge 3500. Any other suggestions or does this sound like a good combo, working on a budget?
