This just in: the new E320 CDI Bluetec is going to crank out 400 lb/ft of torque! What do you think of this? Also, 27 mpg city/37 mpg highway. :-)

This ride is sure to be a hit (outside of california) because thre are no beemers or vw to compete(atleast not yet). that is still a load of power. Imagine having it chipped or tuned (if they have that stuff for m-b's).

It's just a matter of time before people start chipping these. There are a lot of European tuners that already are. I guess the AdBlue system is still undergoing EPA and CARB testing.

Hello, FNG here.
I drive a 3.0 CRD Grand Cherokee. It is "chipped". Increasingly, vendors are gaining support for the OM642 Mercedes engine.
I looked for a Jeep CRD forum but was unable to find one on this site. -Tough bein the little guys.

Hi FNG. I to have a 3.0 Grand and is tuned with a power diesel box. Not much info out there for these.Opened up the air boxI also removed the rear muffler. No change in noise but freed the system up a little. good gaines with this and using on average 9.1 ltrs per 100 kms

We do have a "DaimlerChrysler" section of the forum, but the name of the company changes so constantly, I don't know what to call it anymore!
