hey guys im just curious about how much power my truck is making. its an automatic 97 Dodge 2500 CTD with a #6 plate and a straight pipe. im about to add an intake also and im just wonderin if any of you guys would have an idea of my hp and torque ratings? with and without an intake. thanks
97 Dodge 2500. CTD 4x4. #6 fuel plate and 4 inch straight exhaust.

with a 6# fuel plate you can be getting anywhere from 200 to 300 hp and 600 to 900 lbs of torque. depending on the mileage, soot build up, etc. smokin is cool, but it dirties up that precious 12ver. *** it

Also there is an A/C line that the filter will sit on get some type of hose to cover it up.

but how much is actually making it to the ground with that stock auto tranny?

From '94 through '98 the engine was rated from 160 to 215hp and slightly less with an automatic.
With a #6 fuel plate you're going to be above 200hp but below 300hp, and torque will be 300 to 900 ft/lbs.
Unfortunately Conner is right, and his post is about as accurate as you're going to get without it being run on a dyno.
