ok explain exactly it is doin and we'll see if we can help you. cuz if your talkin about : you turn the key off and it does a shimmy death rattle thing thats pretty normal. But other than that just give us more detail and we'll see what we can do.

Do you mean just a little "shimmy & squeak"? That's normal on almost all diesels. The thing is, the combustion events in a diesel are so abrupt, relative to a gas engine, that when you shut it down, the engine stops like RIGHT NOW, and the accessory belt keeps going momentarily, causing the squeak. The abrupt shut-down also causes a little shake when you shut the engine off. It's more pronounced in the Cummins than the PStroke or Dmax, but they all do it to some extent.

that sounds like what its doen. i drive diesels at work and they dont do that but they are internationals and fords. i was just worried i got screwd this is my first diesels for a daliy driver. thanks
