Does anyone know what the BSFC of the Dodge Ram 5.9L Diesel engine is? Thanks.

It's going to depend on what type of fuel you're using. Fuel density is part of the equation, so you're going to get different results from #1 diesel, #2 diesel, B5, B20, and B100 biofuels.
It also depends on what kind of mods the engine has had done to it, since the amount of fuel used is again part of the equation.

I'm looking for BSFC with "normal" Diesel fuel for any chassis or dyno cycle (no engine mods). If you have a BSFC number and know the conditions, that would be great. I found values for various no-road cycles as reference points but I'm more interested in on-the road driving.

It's my understanding that even Cummins does not make that figure public. It's like trying to find a compressor map for a hx35 turbo. If I run into figures anywhere I'll let ya know.

If your looking for actual numbers here are a few I dug up:
at 25% load=400 (g/Kw-h) at 75% load=250 (g/kw-h)

What do you need these numbers for if you don't mind me asking?

Just got an estimate for .38 lb fuel per hp/hour.
