The new 6.7 we have blows black smoke when pullin a 30ft gooseneck with a t-190 bobcat anc sod on it and sometimes just empty and runnin over 2000 rpm. DOes that mean the DPF is not workin? I dont think it was regen because it does everytime it tows the trailer.

i own a 07, 6.7 megacab it has 14,000mi on it it occasionaly blows smoke when i put my foot in it i notice many trucks like that do i dont think its any thing to wory about

I wish it would smoke more. I was curios if somethin was wrong with the dpf.

If any smoke at all comes out of the tailpipe, (especially when you can notice it) your dpf if malfunctioning. Get it to a dealer and have a new one put on. My truck did that and they replaced the filter and catalyst no questions asked

Im glad it aint workin. Hopefully if funds are availible it will soon be gone.
