Hi Everyone I have a 2003 f250 superduty 7.3 l 4x4 dual cab australian model imported by ford australia. the problem i am having is when you put your foot on the brakes at idle , you have no power steering with brakes applied . i have taken it back to the dealer numerous times about this problem , and they keep telling me that is how the vehicles are and all 7.3 l powerstroke f250 are the same, there are currently 61 f250 with this problem reported to ford australia and ford have said they will not repair the vehicles, im hoping someone has a solution on how to rectify this problem

Hey mad73l I have the same problem and it seems to be getting worse. I am in the US and I know a bunch of people that are having this issue. I really wish someone would come up with some type of solution. I am at the point where even if it cost $4k, I would gladly pay it to have a truck that is usable. Last week I had to do a panic stop and damn near ran over the car that pulled out in front of me. I really think this hydrobost system that ford uses sucks. I tried looking into new high preasure pumps, stearing box replacements and have really gotten nowhere on this. I have seem these types of posts on this site time after time and nobaody has an answer. Hopefully someone has solved this issue by now. If not maybe it is time to buy a Chevy...
Any response or advise would be great.
