is anybody using this system in conjunction with a chip on a duramax. i have a duramax and i am using banks 6 gun tuner and tow a fifth wheel. currently when i tow i have it set on level 3 or 4. if i use propane what can i run up to without doing any damages to the trans. towing and not towing. every ones in a while i like to step on it too. and what about egt do they go up at all.currently im getting almost 22mpg.@ 65mph will it also increase like some people say that they receive an increase from 1-3 mph but i dont know if they are also using a chip. i would like to know if you have a duramax with a chip and what was your mile increase before propane and after.

I think propane will actually lower your EGTs and increase your mileage. I've heard very few downsides to using propane. Anyone else have any experiences?

We're getting at least an extra 15% net money savings with a similar unit (not powershot) on a 7.3L powerstroke with the chip.

propane is a safe way to increase power and mileage. Generally you will inject propane at a rate of 1 gal propane to 4 gal of diesel. You will see around a 2 to 7 mpg increase. The reason is the propane helps to give you 100% combustion of your diesel instead of the normal 75%.Plus you get the added power from the propane. Another benefit is reduced carbon in the engine so cleaner oil and less wear.YOu can buy the name brand systems for around $700 to $800 or you can buy the same equipment( vaporizer regulator solinoid hose fittings etc.) from a propane equipment supplier for around $200.The biggest expense is the tank.they can run $500 to $2000 or more.

Propane is good for a 50hp to 60hp. Any more than that then your asking for a blown motor. txs120 be carefull with how much propane you run. The 2001 and up 7.3s have PMRs which can break. It is not worht windowing a block for a 100hp more. You duramax guys should be fine.
Let the good coal roll Warning !!!! I have an opinion and I am not afraid to use it !!!!!!
