I own a 2002 Ford F-150 and was wondering how hard it would be, if possible, to switch take out my V6 and put a 5.9 Cummins Diesel engine in it?

I'll be honest .... you're really going to need to do your homework on this one.
The engine weight alone is around 1200 pounds. Now add A/C, alternator, intercooler, oil, coolant, radiator, etc., and you're going to easily be at 3/4 of a ton. Is your frame and suspension going to handle this since you want to put it in a half ton truck?
Keep in mind that the ISB engine is considered to be a medium duty engine in a light duty truck. You might want to look at an F-250 instead.

Or if you don't mind losing 2 cylinders you can settle for the 4bt cummins. If you had a 90ish model I know the 4bt cummins is a direct bolt in.
