Hey guys..the discussion around my area is that dodges fall apart after awhile. I've heard about the dashboards, but what else goes out on them? My dodge has almost 190,000 on it and i've had no problems with the truck. What problems have you guys had or heard about with dodges? What year of trucks are so quick to fall apart?
Thanks! Keep it DIESEL!!!

Yeah, I've heard the same complain about Dodge's interiors. Chances are, the engine will out-last the truck itself by quite a bit.
Honestly, as long as you take care of things, and don't neglect problems, you'll probably be fine. It's just the guys that trash their trucks and don't fix things when they brake that I think complain most of the time.

Bumber sag and dash cracking alot of Ford dealers say Dodges fall apart. The 03 and up Dodges seem to have all the kinks worked out. I've been looking at the dodges due to the fact I would like a newer truck and as many times as I hear about the six leaker blues I'm going the Cummins route nuff said.
Let the good coal roll Warning !!!! I have an opinion and I am not afraid to use it !!!!!!

Well personally, if you buy a diesel at least go with a 03 and up. I think they have a lot of the kinks worked out, other than their weak transimission but with a few upgrades can be resolved. Also, far as durability and amount of punishment taken, that cummins engine will last for what will seem like a life time. I know a guy right now that has a 84 cummins with over 750,000 miles on it and its still kicken out on the farm, delivering cattle and everything else. It's ridiculous how long those things last. Granted the truck has had some repairs but nothing major so yeah, just go with a cummins it's just that simple. Chevy's might look a little nicer and so will fords, but who cares if you don't have any balls to back the brawn. But then again I don't buy a dodge because I like dodge I bought my dodge because I wanted the cummins motor, who cares about dodge. hahahaha

There's a company here in B.C. called Pacific Blasting/demolition that still has some first and second gen Dodges...they don't have a straight body panel on them and about a bazillion hard miles, but they haven't fallen apart! I parked beside one the other day and asked the guy why they still ran a '91 and he said..."The boss said he'll replace them when they die...they just won't die!"
