Ok well I was with my girlfriend at the movies tonite and we took my truck.  I had just filled up earlier today, so I had over 30 gallons of fuel in my tank.  When we pulled into the parkin lot I saw a couple of punks ridin their skateboards around the parkin lot, but I didnt really think anything of it at the time.  Well about 15 min into the movie I go out to the truck to get a sweatshirt for my girlfriend and I saw all the kids kind of huddled around my truck.  I started walking a little quicker and then I saw that one of them was lying underneath my truck.  Thats when I broke into an all out run screamin my head off.  Almost all the kids started runnin away except for two, The one underneath my truck and the one holding the tank that all my diesel was being drained into, but only cause they couldnt take off.  I smoked the kid holding the tank one time in the jaw and he dropped and then I grabbed the other ones foot and pulled him out from underneath my truck.  Now normally Im not really a violent guy, but when I get mad I get really mad, and I was really mad at this point.  I hadnt even hit him yet when when I saw flashing blue lights coming at me.  So I stood up an held the kids collar so he couldnt run away until the officer got there.  To make a long story short, I ended up with a stern warning from the cop(turned out it was a buddy of mine so he let me off), two broken fingers from when I punched the kid, and a hole in my gas tank.  It turned out the kid I hit was 18 and the one under my truck was 19, and they were stealing my gas so they could use the money to buy cigaretes.  What is this world coming to?  

HEY DODGE17, Did those two punks get arrested ?? If not you should of given them a good beat-down, Then taken them to the G A Y part of town and PIMPED them until you had enough money to fix your TRUCK !!!! We need to STOP being victims, these punks know the LAW will do nothing to them !!!!  

No, I dont know how they got out of it but they did.  I broke the one kids jaw and Im making both of them pay for my new gas tank  

That's pretty crappy. I hate it when stuff like that happens. I almost forgot to take my laptop out of my car last night, then remembered what happened the last time I forgot to bring it in...yep, got stolen.  

did they not even have to pay for the damage to your truck if not the cop friend of yours is not a good friend  

No he did tell them that they would have to pay for my new gas tank.  He said that I could have been arrested for assault though from when I hit the one and he let me off the hook.  I said I didnt really care what happened to them as long as I got my new gas tank and never saw them near my truck again.  I dont feel like going to court to watch two kids get a slap on the wrist  

Don't take this the wrong way but being a hot head in a situation like that is a bad thing.  Now you've got 2 broken fingers that'll take 6 to 8 weeks minimum to heal, and your girlfriend could have been crying over your comatose body right now if things hadn't turned out the way they did.

It would be easier to get a CCW and simply "hold them" until the cops show up, but you can't be a hot head and own a gun.

If you have a gun range in your area I would see if they have an IDPA course you can attend once or twice a month and get your CCW.

I would really hate to be in a situation where I needed to draw down on someone, and hate it even more if I needed to pull the trigger .... but it's better than being in a cast for 2 months, or worse.

HEY DODGE 17 mite have broken 2 fingers, BUT I bet DODGE 17 2 broken fingers feel alot better knowing that no good piece of S H I T, has a broken jaw !!! only thing better, would have been for them two to go to JAIL and get a BROKEN A S S !!!!!

The two broken fingers arent a big deal, Ive broken plenty of them before and I can still work an everything.  An marineone I was kinda thinking bout that afterwards how that wouldve sucked if one of them was armed, but it all worked out.  Plus Im only 18, so I dont think Id be able to carry a concealed weapon but Im not really sure, and even if I did have a permit to do so I probably wouldnt have thought to bring it in to the movie theater with me.  I had my shotgun in the truck from going to the range with some buddies of mine earlier that day.  But how does one go about getting that permit?  O an I saw the one kid whos jaw I broke when I went to the police station to get my money and he had his jaw all wired up, it made me feel a little better.  

Contact your local sheriff's office and they can get the background check started and all the paperwork you'll need.  You'll also need to complete a gun safety course.

Depending on the laws in your area you might need to be 21.

Ok so reading this I thought it was pretty funny reading about how you broke that one kids jaw. But when Marine One talked about holding them there with a concealed weapon? You can't do that..you would have been screwed if you held them there with a gun..did I read that right?

If so you really need to look at the laws again, I mean even in a fist fight it's a tough call to pull out a hand gun. You have to use something equal you know. My uncle is a Swat captin and my father is a Federal Investigator and both have the right to carry a weapon at all times. I thought the same way as you but then they told me you can't just go around pulling out a hang gun. That isn't what the permit is for and you would really get screwed if you ever do that...

And im going to guess you didn't mean pull the trigger on them for any other reason besides they pull a gun or knife on you. I really hope you don't mean like if one of them ran off or something if so you shouldn't be able to even have a gun.  

The whole point of a CCW is to legally carry a weapon so that in the event you need to protect your person or property you can have the proper tools to do so.  In this case he would have been justified as he was preventing the theft of his diesel fuel, damage to his vehicle, and potential threats against his person by trying to stop their actions.

Now the only way I could justify pulling the trigger is if one or both of these dumb kids trying to rip off the fuel pulled either a gun or a knife.  Shooting someone in the back isn't legal in most states, however keeping these morons there until law enforcement shows up is what you're after.  Once they show up, surrendering your firearm and CCW to the police/sheriff should be the next step taken and watch them goto jail.

If I had had a concealed weapon I definitly wouldnt have pulled the trigger just for some punk kids trying to rip me off for a hundred bucks.  I wouldve just used it to keep them from running away so I could have gotten all of them arrested
