first to start id have the 6.6 duramax probably a LB7 then wrap it in a 04 or 05 Dodge 3500 crew cab long box 4X4 OR a 1989 3/4ton Chevy Suburban, either one 6inch lift 37inch tires/20rims and all the extra power ad on's, exhaust, intake, chip, ...and so on.

The one combination that a lot of people would love to see is the Cummins/Ford, Allison automatic (something stronger than the 1000 series that can fit). That would settle it for me. But here's one that if Ford were to build it, I would buy it in a minute. Take the current Super Duty chassis, stretch the nose a little, stick in a Navistar DT466E/Allison 6 speed auto with lockup convertor, a big rear end with 2 speeds. Essentially stuff the medium duty gear into the truck. More cubes than a Cat C7 and a little cheaper to fix, plus it's a wet liner motor that can be rebuilt by me. Only other motor choice would be a Cummins C8.3. Now for the totally insane combo. Take a Cummins K38 or CAT 3412 (V12 marine/industrial diesels), a Peterbilt 351 daycab, a big Allison auto, double overdrive ratios and 2500-3000hp, on full air ride, dual 10" stacks (open of course). I'd love to pull 80000 pounds to over 150+mph!!!

I have a few. A Dodge 3500 Megacab fully loaded long bed with a tranny that could take 1,000lbfts. of torque and 800 HP.
Next a Ford F-350 with a cummins and allison tranny lifted 14 inches rolling on 44's with two 6inch stackes coming outta the bed running 12's down the 1/4mile.
A Chevy single cad short bed running 8's down the 1/4 and still ahving it as a daily driver.

Sounds like we have a few CAT fans here. Just a quick note it does not seen like you know. Cummins as a Corporate conglomerate owns CAT. as well as many others they are one of the biggest companys in the world just spread through many others that most people believe stand alone and in fact are owned by cummins corp. Cummins as a corp. head builds 76% of the diesel engines in the world. IMPRESSIVE if you ask me.

I'd like to know that one myself. I knew Cummins is big and all, but owns CAT too? That needs some backup.

Be a lot of unhappy dodge owners and a lot of happy ford owners.

MY Present idea is get a good ford ranger,or a good S10,with a messed up powerplant and put a 4 cyl benz diesel from a old 240 in it....... Should be easy to do just frabricate mtr. mounts and a drive shaft & throttle linkage ...My personal problem is finding one with a stick on it, and yes they made them....

mabey this is a little out dated but i don't care. i would love to see an old turbocharged 6v53 detroit in any kind of the 3 older 4wd pickups. those things sound awsome!!!! i saw one in an antique tractor at a pull and i think it would be awsome to wee one in a truck to pull with.
