i have a 02 7.3L and i want to put a smoke switch on it. my buddy did it to his 6.0 but the 7.3s dont have the plugs on the turbos like the 6.0s do. ive heard of doing something to the map sensor but i dont know what. anyone know what can be done to the 7.3?  

theres alot that can be done with a 7.3. you can unhook the map sensor but i dont reccomnd doing that. your better off doing an intake and exhaust, then getting some gauges and a chip  

i have edge with attitude, 4" turbo back with aero turbine muffler, k&n stage 2 intake, and a compression wheel.it blows a little smoke off the line but i want to pour our some coal when the m damn ricers get next to me.just out of curiosity  what would happen if i unplugged the map sensor.  

You can un-plug the hose going to the MAP sensor and plug it up with something OR I want to say it is the blue/red(the middle wire) wire but sure on that


BUT if all else fails you can do this SMOKE TUNE IT.

get a chip if you wanna pour smoke  

The smoke switch tricks your pcm into thinking you have full boost so it pumps in fuel. Just take your 5volt reference wire to your map and run a wire taped into that into your cap to one side of a switch. then take and splice a wire into your return (signal) wire on your map and run it to the other side of the switch in the cab. when the switch is on it will send a full 5v to your pcm and make it think you have full boost so it will dump in fuel. its really easy and it doesnt hurt anything if you do it right.  

sell the edge and buy a chip with a smoker setting
