HI There,
I just got set up on this. Ive been reading diesel power mag for 2.5 years and just got my own 2006 duramax LLY about a month ago. I don't know much yet but was wondering if a turbo back straight pipe is legal in Pennsylvania on an 06. whats the best exhaust for good flow and that nice rich turbo diesel sound. Also i was wondering if anyone had advice on programmers IE: Edge Juice, Banks, Bully Dog, etc....? How can i get good mpg?? currently 15 city 19 hwy.

thanks fellas

Hi and welcome 2 diesel power. Congrats on the new ride. I believe someone else posted that it was legal 2 have straight pipes in PA. As far as exhaust, I have a MBRP 4in turbo back with the 4in downpipe. It has good flow and an awesome sound. And for programmers i would stick with PPE, Edge, EFI Live. But there are others that are good 2. Good luck and congrats on the new oil burner

Hey DieselPower06,

Thanks for the info. I thought it was legal to do it in PA but wanted somebody else's opinion. Im guessing that you have mbrp's muffler on your truck? or did u remove it? did the new downpipe help out a lot?? as far as programmers i think i am goin with edge.

Thanks

Yeah i still have the muffler on but i put the 4in downpipe on. It make alot more noise with the cat off. Good sound and good mpg. good luck
