Well I got in a fight with a prius owner today.  I was filling up my truck today at one of our local gas stations  and this guy decides to come over and start looking at my truck.  I didnt really think anything of it at first until he asked me "how it feels to kill the environment".  I just looked at him an told him to go away.  I was going to ignore it until he kept going at it.  He was talkin bout how trucks like mine are ruining the environment and destroying our economy.  Thats when I started getting mad.  This was also when he pointed out his prius an said how people like him are trying to make up for people like me.  I wanted to hit him so bad, but I decided to just make him feel stupid instead.  I told him how my 7000pound truck can get up to 25mpg and how his 3000pound prius probably gets about 45mpg.  If you think about it my truck is more than twice as heavy as his car and gets better than half the mpg his car gets.  So actually, my engine is more eficient.  Then I told him how my truck has 330,000 miles on it and can tow his car to the junkyard when it dies at 100,000 miles.  Then I told him to go back to his car before I start getting really mad.  He left without saying another word.  I was still kind of pissed when I was leaving until I saw the same guy in front of me on the road.  I may have "accidentaly" left him in a cloud of black smoke when I passed him.

Haha, thanks guys, idk what the guys problem was.  The only reason I didnt hit him was I didnt want to give us diesel guys an even worse name.  I dont see why people cant grasp that diesels are the future and are going to help us out a lot more than the stupid priuses will.  As for the black smoke I just couldnt help myself

I think ya handeled that pretty good.We get a lot of tree huggin envyro freaks up here in n. Idaho also. Its not so bad now,but there used to be a time they were everywhere.Some liked to chain themselves to skidders and trees and we just had to call the cops before we could start loggin.Ya know we live here and the last dam thing we want to do is cut all the trees down, ruin the elk hunting. I think they went away when they introduced the canadian wolves.Who the hell thinks this crap up?There canadian wolves killed our native wolves not to mention some of the ranchers cattle and some houndsmans' dogs.How can something be considered extinct when it lives in CANADA! not Idaho .anyway good job on the 007 manuvure. He probabley would of had a *** with my 38x15.50x20 baja claws  

You made a very good compelling arguement which spoke for itself. Next time bring me with you and I will hit him for the both of us Nah in all honesty, I found that when people act like that, they are more than likely jelous. Either way he is an ass. Nice job representing us as a whole.  

Yep. Another Prius Kool-Aid drinker. I can't stand their smugness. It's amazing how ignorant they are about other engines and technologies. For that matter, you should have asked him exactly how "Hybrid Synergy Drive" works. That would have stumped him.

And why do they feel like they have to get in people's faces about it. Sounds exactly like the South Park "Smug Alert" episode with Gerald issuing fake citations to truck & SUV drivers.  

You got that right, Diesels are much more efficient than any gas hybrids. It's actually pretty ridiculous so many people buy into the Prius hype considering many European diesels get just as much mpg alone, and now they're making diesel hybrids. These smugs just want to drive something celebrities drive, but they couldn't afford the nice Ferrari's and Bentleys so they could only settle for a Toyota.  

I have had people stop me a few times, but only one person acted like that. Most folks question my mileage and are suprised when i tell them what i can make it do mileage wise. When i was in high school me and some buddies drove my old truck, a 99 dodge 3500 with 35s and stacks, down to a mall about 30 miles south of us, and we had some wierdo lookin guys in a prius follow us across the parking lot yelling at us. They were almost as mad about my Georgia Cattlemans Association Member front tag that says BEEF in big a** letters, but my truck just ruined his whole night.  All 4 of the people in the car were pissed that my truck was so big, and want doing anything but driving across the parking lot. I pulled over into a mostly empty lot and they said what they wanted to, blah blah blah, gas mileage, blah blah blah, everyone should drive a prius and they should outlaw trucks, blah blah blah, holes in the ozone layer. So i turned my chip up all the way and told him that by the end of the night i was gonna have made my own hole in the ozone layer, and i was gonna name it after him since he has such a big damn mouth. Then i cranked my truck, powerbraked it till there was a big black cloud from the stacks and a big white cloud from the tires, then hauled ass across the parking lot. Dont know what he thought about that but it made me feel good!  

Yea some people just get it in their heads that they are completely right and there is no other side of the argument.  I honestly dont see what is so great about a prius, its one of the stupidest lookin cars Iv ever seen, its slow as hell, and they cost more than a conventional car.  I cant wait till BMW offers that diesel car Ive seen in diesel power that gets upwards of 50mpg so I can rub it in some prius guys face that a car running just on diesel gets better mileage than his prius.  Plus I dont know what prius owners plan to do when their prius breaks down.  I know a bunch of people that are trained diesel techs but I dont know anybody who has had any experience working on hybrids.

so i know im gonna catch alot of *** after i post this *** i test drove a prius just to see what all the hype was about, well they aint that great. i swear my mountain bike had better get-up and go then that car lol, personally id never ever buy one even if it was the last car on earth. the salesman there was prolly pissed when i blew a big cloud of smoke at the front door hahahahahaha.
