I have never been one for breaking the law but I am tired of getting 12mpg in my 6.7 diesel. My friend put a dpf delete kit on his 6.7 and he gets 20mpg or more and sounds like a beast. I don't know if the warranty is worth the fuel cost over the life of the truck. anyone had any problems with their 6.7?

Actually, most of the issues that I've heard about with the 6.7 are related to the DPF itself. Other than voiding the warranty, I'd imagine it'd be pretty good otherwise.

Im sure it will be fine I havent heard any problems with people taking the DPF off around here. IF you do decide to take it off I dont know if you are required to pass safety and emission's in your state but Im from Utah so all the guys I know keep all their stock equipment and just but it back on when it come time to get their emissions and safety inspections done

Where do you get a DPF delete kit? I'm like you with poor mileage.

I just found out that in my state (NC), diesels dont have to pass the emissions test. So I am definitely looking at a DPF delete kit. Does anyone know if the Edge Juice w/ Attitude will take care of the error codes thrown from removing the DPF?

The Edge Attitude will clear your code without you ever knowing there was a code. The DPF delete is almost a must in my mind and PDI Diesel makes a really nice kit as well for around 900 bucks. If you do the delete, might as well do the EGR block off as well. Works hand and hand and youll finally sound like a real oil burner!

The edge will not take care of the codes you have to buy 2 electronic boxes with the delete kit to take care of it.

Who do you work for that sells those boxes. The attitude monitor takes care of the code just fine in my friends truck. Hes never had any problems. The companys that make those delete kits even ask you when ordering if you have some type of a programmer to clear the code, and the edge is one of them.

Thats what i was told too and i told my buddy about it so he got the edge and guess what it proved me wrong so he got to buy 2 little boxes at $250 a piece. Not all trucks need the second one but he was fortunate enough to have to buy both of them.

That blows! My friend went with PDIs kit and hasnt had a problem. Called my friend down at DieselNutMotorsports, check em out, and he said that hes never heard of any boxes that you gotta buy either, but that hes only dealt with PDIs kit as well.
