Talk to Banks. It's in their best interest to have the dealership change there mind...after all most people would buy a product that doesn't void their warranty.

FoMoCo can only void the warranty and deny cost free repairs if the after market addon is to blame, which this is. IE you put a CAI on and your lights stop working, FoMoCo must repair them. Now what the hell were you thinkin takin it back to the dealer ship with that CAI installed, get a little programmer read th DTC, guarantee its cause the MAF sensor is seeing more air and clear it and have a good day.

You make think you own the truck but no you do not. The COMPUTER own's the truck, "she just let's you drive the truck". If you are not nice to the COMPUTER the COMPUTER will throw codes and shut you down.

But if you refash the computer you can now own the computer and your truck. The 6.4 have alot more hidden power in them than what people think.

It's called the Magnuson-Moss Act. Basically, the burden of proof is on the dealer to prove that it was aftermarket parts that caused the failure of a factory component.

For instance, they can't deny you coverage on your windshield-wiper motor because you put an exhaust or lift-kit on your truck. But if they can make a case and prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a programmer or something is throwing codes, or causes your cat or DPF to go out, they could charge you for it.

with ford wanting to void your warranty they can not just do that cause of after market parts in the lastest issuse of diesel power mag in the back of sema will tell you which law it is it protects buyers of new trucks under warranty with after market parts they have to really prove that your non stock parts cuased the problems not just becuase they want to say so. Look it up get the new intake on from banks if it did not fix the problems take it back ford if they dont comply see the manger in a claim manner talk to him like a adult your'll have more leverage that way get him to see your side of things if not call banks tell them the problems with ford voided warranty then get sema invoided. If it comes to a lawyer then it needs to and beside you can push something pretty far before it gets into slander. If you can not find the actical pm me and i look it up. My friend at work has a new dodge diesel and he just wanted to put a k-n air filter in it would be cheaper than to keep buying stock ones and dodge told him they would void his warranty. He is still running the stock one for now but hes throwing a fit with dodge about this crap and the mileage he gets, he said it was the worst mistake of his life so far. Sorry about so long
