Your engines going to throw a code and if you dont have a programmer and dont want to buy a programmer that will clear your code then the control/pressure box they have will clear it for you. Thats why its an add on. As far as the three pigtails, im pretty sure that refers to the dummy sensors that are there in replace of your stock sensors in some of the other companys systems.
