I have read a lot on upgrades. I have recently purchased a 2001 f-250SD, with a 7.3l
A lot of the comments are saying dp-tuner (i have read a lot on all and they are the better), intake and down-pipe. Are you saying to take the top of the motor off and put a new intake on it? or is that slang for a cold air intake system?
Thanks
So far I am looking at : Dp tuner F6 smart switch down pipe and magna flow cat back exhaust
This truck runs on most weekends towing my race car, that's it, maybe to work once in a while (200 mile round trip), Live in NE NC, doesn't get really cold here.
Thanks Again

It is slag for cold air intake. As far as the exhaust goes just get a turbo back exhaust.Look here

Remeber with exhaust, bigger is'nt always better. You can go too big. It looks and maybe sound cool. But will be bigger on the wallet. A striaght through 4" system usually does the trick. Even with fuel mileage. A 5" system is if you are going to go more radical on performance. Go cat back at the least, turbo back is even better.
