i have a 2001 chevy durmax. i tow a lot of the time.   115000 miles
intermitently when i punch it down it boggs out and wont surpass 1800 rpm
i have changed the fuel filter, since this truck didnt have a lift pump to the injection pump i added one.  when i change the fuel filter it is only 75% full of fuel. in june 08 i replace the injection pump because it was bad.  took it to the dealer and he said it was a p0093 code and that i needed 8 new injectors.  i cant believe 8 injectors went bad at once and it will run fine for several days and then start messing up.  if i shut it off for 30 seconds and restart it it will run fine but i never know for how long.  im starting to think it might be electrical but looking for help.  any suggestions anyone  

i had the same problem with my 02 so i to took it to GM and thay told me the same thing if it is your injectors you should beable to smell diesel in your oil. on my truck it was a RECALL and i went rounds with the dealership on who was going to pay 5000 bucks for th repair.thay did after a little mention on how my lawyer wanted to talk to the owner. all in all i think it might be your injectors butt check first it might be a RECALL.

I spoke with the 4th dealer today and my truck was part of an injector replacement but only if it happened in the first 7 years  ive been informed that the purchase date of record is nov 2000 and i dont qualify for injector replacement.  i have a dealer that is willing to do more diagonostics to determine if it is the injectors.  

HI robertjkolat, CALL CHEVY and B I T C H them out !!! It's going to cost you like $4,000 to fix, CHEVY offer a 200,000 mile warranty on the fuel injectors.
