I'm thinking about putting a twin turbo in my truck and i was wondering what the best kit is and if it is possible to build your own twin turbo system with parts from suppliers Cool

Idustrial Injection has a good setup, they also have a lot of options, as does High Tech Turbo (HTT), ATS isn't to bad either, I am running a single charger AK5000 and it's great.  Another setup I would recommend would be MPI twin kits, those are supposed to be some of the best ones out there.  It's all in what you're looking for really.  What all you planning to do?

what do you do with the truck, you need to think about that before buying turbos if you tow alot of heavy loads you might need towing turbos if not you can get away with alot bigger primary charger so you can have a large sendory charger your need bigger injectors head studs and a good tranny, fuel system exhuast intake good air cleaner what else to you already have on the truck

thats all good but what do you do with it tow or daily driver/race rice burners if you tow a good bit you would want something like a 62/71/13 or something like that as your small turbo any bigger and your going to have alot of lag

Just for reference, the ATS A3K / A5K combo works great for all around performance.

The 3K is 57mm, the 5K is a 71mm, and they work great together.

Boost is quick from the 3K and at around 20 psi the 5 lights up and it's on.

I love my ATS compounds so far.

I'm driving the truck as just a daily driver and want some spunk but I have towed several things such as an old john deere with a big tandem gooseneck around 20k. So i would like something pretty versatile

dont go bigger than a 62/71/13 on the low side of the turbo or your spool up will be greatly low or more instant spool up a 62/65/12 would work great the a s300 or the high side would work good it might cost you about 4,000 dollars if you would like some cheaper just shop around call them talk to there tech department see what they say industrail injection is a good company or bd there are alot of good twin setup out there

hx40 and ht3b are a damn nice setup. i got them sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. i got the hx40 now and i love it. my egts are low, really low. but i had the twin setup made for me from a guy in another forum for $900 with the hotpipe downpipe all plumbing and powder coated to match my truck.

yeah, do what they guy above me said. get on ebay and find an HT3B turbo, buy a kit and do it your self. im guessing youve just got the stock HY35 on ur truck. with the two of them and the fuel ur pumping you will be very happy. if i had the money thats what i would do. ive had plenty of friends go from an HX40 to the HX35/HT3B set up and be extremely happy. plus HT3B's are cheap as hell on ebay so you wont be too pissed when you blow them up ;-) Or if i was rollin in dough i would just call up ATS and get a complete kit.
