I know you guys like to gripe   but rather than tell us why we stink, how about starting a thread of what you saw and liked in the magazine?  Use specifics if you can.

Also, pick out your top 3-5 categories in this list and we'll see what we get.  Thanks guys!

I'd like to see more:.....

Event Coverage (sled pulling/drag racing)
Competition vehicle features (drag/sled/mud/etc.)
High horsepower work truck features
Tech
Parts shootouts
Rearend/axle/stories
Transmission stories
Project vehicle articles
engine stories (cam, heads, turbos, etc.)
bolt on stories (boxes, exhaust, etc.)
Engine swaps
Clean Diesel stories
Dyno competitions
Show trucks
Off Road trucks

.....any other suggestions welcome.

I'll throw my two cents in .....

Event coverage/Event calendars
The best way to get diesel noticed more is events, and knowing where those events are at and when.

Transmission stories/projects
Obviously due to the issues that most CR Cummins trucks are having, and for those that want to put an Allison behind a Cummins.

Parts shootouts
We really need this since we've got the new 6.7L Cummins and because it's so new knowing what's out there for this engine is definately needed, plus its free advertizing for those products in the articles.

Tech
Programmers and such for the new engines, and if there are ways to program the newer transmissions (shift points, max RPM before shift, etc.).

In the event coverage/event calendar category, it would be nice to see more diesel events that are strictly about tractor pulling/semi truck pulling. Those are diesels that have a lot more power than any street driven truck, plus those classes are the roots of the diesel world. It would be nice to see an event covered that featured these events more than just "also rans."

Send people to the big pulling events: Tomah, WI in June, Bowling Green, OH, in August, Saluda, SC, Fort Recovery, OH. I'm not sure about nationally, but in Ohio, the super mod diesel 4x4 is a sanctioned class under the OSTPA. Plus, Atley ran exhibition runs at BG with his AG-stremely hooked Ford/Cummins truck.

Personally I like reading about what people are doing with their daily drivers.  How to make healthy power without breaking the bank and comparisons.  A comparison between some of the top brand turbos would be cool, which lift kits are best for a daily driver or the hardcore offroader, putting tires trough different tests.  Stuff to help me get the most bang for my buck and how to make my truck last as long as possible.

You know what sucks?  We went to two tractor pulling events last year, and they were both rained out   So no stories.  One was blown alcohol trucks vs diesels in the OSTPA....was really looking forward to that one.  But we did get a couple good pics of an 1150 cid KTA Cummins engine.

Thanks for the feedback guys, keep it comin!!

I would like to see diesels as the title of the mag says instead of just show trucks and cars that all mags cover.I liked when you put out all the spects of differant engs and the artical on largest diesels in ships and the fuel they used, home built rigs from the average man.how about the diesels in sermis, farm tractors, heavey equipment, small boats to large ships.instead of an artical on another 5-6 inch stack how about the stacks on battle ships. How about all the differant diesels in locamotives from old days to present days.I would like to realy see a mag that covers diesels and not the same thing all the other mags are covering.
A real toy for big boys.I installed a 5.9-B Cummins, P-7100 inline stage one pump,  banks cooler,5in exh, removable air bags for towing, 1in body lift,2in hanger lift,2 12in elect fans, customized mounting,(eng mounts, intake piping, trans adapter etc) Runs on home made bio-fuel at 70 cents a Gal.

I want it all. Make the mag bigger, charge me a little more (that part is optional unless its necessary) and just make more articles on EVERYTHING! Some articles get a little redundant if there are two similar ones in two months, but as long as its diesels i dont care. My only gripe is i read all the way thru it and have to wait 3 or 4 weeks for the next one. Make it bigger than the "Truckin" magazine. All in all i like the way its going, so i guess im not much help.

i would have to agree with oliverpuller more about ntpa events. also more projects and stories about the 6.5L TD. ive been reading dp for a couple of years and i only recall one real artical about the 6.5 and that was Heath's half ton at the salt flats.and you mideas wall rename the mag to cummins power. dont get me wrong i like the cummins but it seems that 3/4 of the mag is about cummins 1/8 of d-max and an 1/8 of power stroke. sorry if i sound like a butt but it is the truth

AND THERE IS MORE IN BIG DIESEL POWER. JUST FIND THEM.

IM SICK TO SEE ONLY DIESEL PICK-UPS (YEAH- THEY ARE NOT TRUCKS!!!!)

I WANT TO SEE BIG DIESEL POWER AND BIG DIESEL WORKING TRUCKS. IS A SHAME DIESEL POWER MAGAZINE ONLY SHOWS DIESEL PICK-UPS (FORD /CHEVROLET /DODGE) DO NOT CALL THOSE TRUCKS BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST DIESEL PICK-UPS.

ON THE 10 BEST DIESEL ENGINES YOU FORGOT TO PLACE MACK E6 ENGINES. THIS ENGINES STILL WORKING TODAY....
