Does anyone know the difference between Detroit 4-53 and 4-71 RC Model D?

4-53 means 4 cylinder 53 cubic inches per cylinder. 4-71 means the same thing. What are you going to do with it also determines how much power you need. also check to see what rotation they are left or right hand at front of crankshaft.
