For a simplier install try picking up a donor truck from the same year with the 7.3 IDI diesel. The Cummins install is much more difficult due to the electronics involved.
It really depends on what you want it to do for you ..... which other than getting a diesel you haven't really said. Are you looking to pull stumps or just wanting to burn oil and dump the gasser?

I think 1995 had the Power Stroke, didn't it? I think '94 was half IDI and half Power Stroke. IDIs are a little simpler mechanically and electronically, but Power Strokes are the way to go if you want to hot-rod them at all.

If you have a welder and a mechanic well then you can put all sorts of diesels into the ford. I personally more for being different have considered a Cat 3056 diesel. It is similar in size and power to a Cummins 6BT or the Perkins 1000 series. Also Cat has a new Acert C 6.6 inline 6 to compete withe the cummins 6.7 L. So there are options available
