I run it every fill-up, like, anytime I'm driving I have 2-stroke mixed in my tank... It just makes your truck run more smooth and quiet.

I ran it in my '03 when I had it, and I also run it in my '06 .... but I only put in a pint versus a quart.  It does run smoother, and with the ULSD out there I know the IP is getting a lil extra lubricant.

Pint per tank? It doesn't seem to trigger any codes with the emissions system?

The tests I've seen biodiesel is the best additive for lubricity and emissions. Sleeper nice to meet you. Did you know DARPA is working on biofuels which are identical molecularly to regular diesel?
Since you were in the military did you here about that?

My experience with two-stroke oil is burning it in two-stroke snowmobiles. If you hate smoke so much why would you tell people to burn it? Or do you think emissions are OK and its just the smoke we need to look out for? Why on earth would you pay $20 $30 a gallon for 2 stroke when biodiesel is $4 a gallon at the most.

I think there is a system on some over the road tractors that allows the engine to burn the used motor oil a little at a time while adding new oil to the system. I think they said it allows the engine to run 100,000 miles without an oil change. I might be making this up but it sounds good doesn't it?

And another thing. Leave esanchez and Mike alone. Esanchez is an excellent host who puts in a ton of time and energy into this thing we are talking on now. I learned about algae and urea from esanchez's posts. Mike took a chance on a subject many people were wondering about. He showed what could be done and even pointed out manufactures don't recommend it. Did you read the article? It was a step, it increased what we know. Just like in the military we are all in this thing together. Same team same team. I appreciate your enthusiasm and hope your not mad at me for saying what I think. I like hearing what you think and what everyone else thinks even if I don't agree. Let's point that energy at gasoline battery hybrids instead.

The mining industry (Vale) largest iron ore miner in the world, the airlines, the agricultural industry and now the military are all behind biofuels. Imagine if our military could make their own fuel instead of being the largest consumer of the stuff in the world.

I wonder when the automotive sector will get the wake up call?

Good morning!

Jason. To be honest, I don't care about emissions... I only care about visible smoke, because THAT is what everyone sees, and THAT is gonna get this sport shut down.

Where do you expect me to get biodiesel? And since when does biodiesel have the same energy content as regular diesel?

For the record, I feel like me and esanchez are friends now, and I don't need you to police me....

Just in the short time I've been on this forum, I've probably saved people a few thousand dollars by helping them troubleshoot every day 7.3 problems, and some 6.0...

So, you can continue your daily blogs, and I'll continue helping people with their motors, and if I give a few people a hard time on the side, so be it.

Good day!

Well, call me a tofu-fartin' hippie if you want, but I think we should care about visible smoke AND emissions. Like it or not, Uncle Sam has his nose up our tailpipes in a major way now.

Alternative fuels are very much an emerging market right now, and are certainly not a cure-all for our nation's energy equation. But they're a step in the right direction of making us less dependent on hostile foreign nations for our fuel.

I could personally care less if some old Dead-Head hippie out in the country goes around collecting grease from restaurants and runs his old diesel on it. Good for him! I think it's ridiculous that cities are going after small-time producers like them. But a few isolated WVO enthusiasts aren't going to make a huge difference in the greater scheme of things.

That's fine that you guys care about that... I'm just saying that I'll sacrafice emissions for a better running motor...

Well, if we're talking about adding things to your fuel, have you heard about adding polystyrene to biodiesel? Supposedly it gives you a little more kick, but I imagine it makes the emissions go all to heck.

The way I understand it the biodiesel developed by DARPA is the exact same as petroleum diesel energy % and all you cant tell them apart. If you really want this sport to continue we should look at emisions too its only a matter of time. Smoke is a good start but just think if we could say we get less emissions than a gasoline hybrid. They would have nothing to complain about. I won't police you anymore. Do you think all my blogs are lame? No one comments on them. Google search for biodiesel in your area. I would rather give my money to my neighbor than give it to some foreign country.
We import 60% of our oil.

Hey how about this. "theSLEEPER444 Guest Blog" just email it to me and I'll post it. I can't offer you any money but its a platform.

I don't think your blogs are lame... They seem very infomative... Just not for me... A lot of the things you blog about are not what I'm interested in. But they are nice. I generally go towards the performance aspect of things.

Are you saying that if I write a blog and e-mail it to you, you will post it? Are you a Diesel Power employee?
