does any one know what a 85 gmc with a 6.2 diesel 2 wheel drive half ton came with new for gears and tire size..i'm swapping my old 4.3 for diesel and need to know this to know what gear ratio i would need with 33 on it for tires...its a 4x4 and it has a 4sp auto

well i'll answer in case anyone needs to knwo...mine has 2.73's but the guy who bought it new said he went one step higher for mileage..so it had 3.08's new...a guy from a 73-87 site said it came with 3.08s but anything with a 4speed auto came with 3.42s...i dont' think them numbers were for diesels...oh and the ratio for a gas 4.3 1993 with 225 75 r 16 is 3.73 limited slip...or thats what mine has..i just acquired 38's for mine...do the math it works out for the diesel
