I've read a few articles on the internet speaking of International/Navistar purchasing "Jeep" from Chrysler? I'm looking for comfirmation from some official source? Has anyone confirmed this? Officially?

Highly unlikely. Jeep is one of Chrysler's most-recognized brands. Although anything's possible in a bankruptcy, I don't see them looking to spin off Jeep. Unlike Hummer, it's still a highly viable and profitable brand.

It was an April Fools Joke by JPMagazine.  Ironically everyone who read it thought it was a great idea, everyone except for the execs at Chrysler/Jeep.  Apparently they think a 2WD hybrid Wrangler and Patriot are better ideas than an efficient clean Diesel.  Idiots
