i know most of you will think this is stupid, but i want to blow a lot of smoke. i was thinking about inserting a small injector-like probe into the exhaust to spray diesel into the exaust pipe. would this harm my turbo any?

Dude, that is the WRONG question to be asking on this forum.Once sleeper and marineone get done with you, you'll wish you never asked. All your gonna do is give people with diesels a bad name. why do you want to blow that much smoke anyway? If you want to blow that much smoke, upgrade your fuel system, and not your turbo. sooner than later you will figure out why a shitload of blacksmoke is not all that cool.

Wait wait wait ........ you want to spray raw diesel directly into your exhaust pipe?

You must be frickin' stupid.

Since it's obvious you have no clue on how diesel burns, nor have you done the research into what the effects will be by doing this, I'll save you a little bit of a headache and tell you now it's not going to turn your truck into the smoke machine from the local 70's disco you frequent.

You've got 3 posts total ..... use the search function and find out why smoke is bad.

This is crazy... I'm not even getting into this one...

But while I'm here... I think it sounds like a great idea... but if you want it to REALLY smoke, put the injector into the up-pipes!!

"Don't worry guys... this kid won't be able to FIND the up-pipes..."

You should have told him it's right next to the down pipe.  It's the place where you put the smoke additive, you know the one with the 1 gallon reservoir for the muffler bearing fluid.

He's gonna need to climb under it to find it though.  You can't see it unless you're totally under it.

It's a little expensive but you could plumb this machine into your exhaust.

http://smokemaker.com/f100.htm

The fluid is glycol based. It is non toxic. Firefighters use it for training.

I'll take back the part about him blowing, but the question is still STUPID.
blowing smoke is a waste of diesel fuel.!!!!!!

Diesel Power should do more to stop this waste of energy.

I agree... Diesel Power needs to start gearing towards more power and less smoke... and EMPHASIZE the fact that we need to keep it clean...

At the risk of getting trashed like the guy that asked the "i know most of you will think this is stupid, but i want to blow a lot of smoke." Someone asked the same thing on a different board.(which they ripped that guy the same way. Way to FUNNY!) Ok the point. They were talking about running waste oil. Any ideas what they are talking about?

They're talking about filtering your old motor oil, and other people's and putting it in your tank... but you have to have some more filters, and you have to know the quality of the oil (no water, gas, etc)...
