About 6 or 7 months ago I read a post about some new additive for the diesels. I contacted the supplier and we talked for a while and finally decided to use my truck as a test. I'm not the kind of person that believes everything to come down the pike. So I went into this being very skeptical. I have a 2001 Ford Superduty crewcab with the 7.3 and auto with 4:11 gears. The truck had 144,000 miles on it when I bought it, just before hearing about this product. This was, and still is, my first diesel. I have changed a few cosmetic things, and the engine has a 4" full exhaust, an Edge EZ module, a full flow air filter, pillar gages. I added a Scan Gauger II to track my mileage. At first I was getting 13.2 for mileage around town. Then I met Dan Wilson of Lubrication Specialties, WWW.lubespecinc.com, and we decided to do some testing. First off, I have no connection to Mr. Wilson or his company except that he sent me some free samples to try. As I said earlier, I was getting 13.2 MPG. After about 6 months and 1600 miles, I don't drive it that much, I was getting 19.6 MPG and I think it would have kept going up, except I bought a 5Th wheel trailer. I was keeping the 19.6 even around town. This has surpassed what Dan told me to expect. I have just ordered a new bottle of his RevX Distance+ because we are going on a 2500 mile trip and I don't want to run out. All it takes is 1 oz. per tank full per 25 gallons. I have read some of the other testimonials about how other people had problems with their trucks and this RevX has helped them. My truck has always ran fine with no problems so I can't comment on that. But I can and do recommend that my friends try this, and you can be sure I'll be spreading the word as I travel. This is in my own words and I am receiving anything (except the original kit) for my endorsement. Contact Dan Wilson at 616-364-1834 or d.wilsonlsi@yahoo.com or go to his web site www.lubespecinc.com. You wont be sorry. Roger M. northern Az.

Have I posted this in the wrong place? I am pretty much new to this whole thing. I'm anxious to hear what others have to say about mileage. Roger

HaHaHa, When I posted my first post in this section about what REV-X did for my 6.0 powerstroke I had a lot of people tell me that I was full of #$%t. They said there was no way any oil additive could cure hard starting problems or a crappy running condition! It's nice to know that I'm not the only pearson that has had these kinds of results. I was not lying to you guys, you are missing out on the best product that I have ever used! If you remember I needed to have (as qouted by the local shop) some of the injectors replaced due to the fact that the truck started hard and lopped when running at an idle. I had just lost my job and the guys at Performance diesel in Grand Rapids, Michigan suggested that I talk to Dan about his products. It is very rare that we ever find something that works as well as people state they do, his products WORK guys. Check them out!

I talked to dan today and asked him if anyone has contacted him from this forum. He stated to me that nobody has contacted him on either of the products that he offers for our vehicles. He has stated that he has given out trial product to people on this site before with the understanding that they would share their results with others on this forum. He also stated that he has been in contact with all of the people that have used the product and only one of them has replied back to the site even though the others stated that they had good results. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT! He said that over twenty people tried the products at no charge . I told you guys how the products worked in my vehicles and others have as well(I guess you guys must like replacing injectors in your Powerstrokes and bitching about how the dealers keep raping you on repairs - OH well). Don't let me forget to say I told you about REV-X months ago.

That's the same thing Dan told me. I told him he could use my statement from here anywhere he wants. I ordered a large bottle of the RevX Distance+. I'm almost out of what he gave me to try. I'm so impressed with his product line I asked him for some cards that I could hand out. We're taking a trip with our new (to us) 5th wheel. From what Dan told me, this stuff is suppose to like to be driven hard. I live in a high valley and the only way out is up and over the mountains. I will post my results when we get home at the end of the month. I forgot to thank you "smokentires" for your first post that got me started on Dan's RevX products.

Hello to everybody on the Diesel Power Mag site. Thanks Roger for the kind words for our products. You'll have continued success with them in the future, just let me know if there's anything you need for your Torino. To all the guys that are emailing me with requests for more information on the REV-X products heres your shot to ask me. I will answer any questions you may have for me. I have been asked many, many times in recent emails if I would be interested in having a test done by the guys at the magazine? The answer to that would be YES! Why not! We didn't spend 4 1/2 years developing this product to keep it a secret. I have been recieving about 35 emails from this site a day since roger posted his findings. I would like to keep the questions on the site as to be able to inform anyone who has questions on the products.
Thanks. Dan Wilson

Hello I have two trucks that i would be interested in trying this product on.
This is the first i have ever heard of this product.. I also work for a company that employs around 30 people and all of us drive diesel's rnaging from 90 fords to 2008 dodge fords and chevys..
Questions I have are
1) Will this have any affect on a 2008 dodge cummins with a dpf still installed and the motor being stock with no tunes this truck currently drives about 60 thousand miles a year? Truck currently has 82000 miles on it and is a year and 6 months old.
2)what kind of gains would be expected with this truck and what products would be best if any??
3) same Questions as above but for a 1993 ford navistar IDI no turbo that drives only about 20000 miles a year or less

OK.
1)Will this have any affect on a 2008 dodge cummins with a dpf still installed and the motor being stock with no tunes this truck currently drives about 60 thousand miles a year? Yes, our products will have a very possitive effect on your truck due to the fact that they work to increase efficiency of all components. The DPF on your truck is not effected by our products what so ever.
2)what kind of gains would be expected with this truck and what products would be best if any?? This is the MAIN question everyone should be asking and should be at the top of the list. Before we can address this question I need to give you a little background on the products.
REV-X oil additive is designed to be used in any vehicle that we are seeking greater efficiency, decreased component wear, reduced component temperatures and mainly increased overal performance. Gains that can be expected from using REV-X oil additive start with a much, MUCH smoother running engine, Decreased spool time for any (yep, I said it)turbo (standard or ball bearing)resulting in increased acceleration and pulling power (at all speeds, not just from a stop) and dramatically reduce wear on all treated components. We also (as Roger stated) have seen rather large increases in fuel economy due to the fact that with increased power you don't need to stay in the throttle nearly as much as you normally would to achieve the same speed. We have also shown through extensive oil analysis testing that we can go much further on an oil change that is treated with REV-X oil additive (Yes, even the 6.0 powerstrokes) while at the same time reducing wear up to 60% on all treated components (engine, manual trans, transfercase, differentials). Now factor in the aspect that REV-X was formulated to give you increasing performance that doesn't stop a week after you install it in your vehicle with a seat of the pants diffeence that you will notice. So, you are going to see increased performance, reduced wear, increased fuel efficiency and a cooler running vehicle.
So who is going to ask how are we achieving this?

So I have been lurking on this site for a while, and just stumbled onto this post. I have been using these product's in my truck for over a year now. I am using both, the oil additive, and the fuel additive in my 98.5 Dodge 3/4 ton. Some of the gain's I have seen on a consistent basis are increased mileage, more power by boost comming on faster, 15K oil changes with Rotella T, and 60% less wear material's in the old oil with oil sample testing through CAT here in Minneapolis. I have suggested these product's to some of my friend's with Ford's, and Chevy's and they have been seeing the same kinds of gains as I have, but I think the ford's show the best gains like 70torino has stated.

well hello again Rev-x users, its been quite awhile since I've posted anything on the site, I was scanning the posts and see that the Rev-X products are starting to make an impact with others besides myself and the fleet I operate and manage. I,m proud to say that the bus company I work for has been using the products that Lubrication Specialties Inc. offer for the last 2 years. Our bus fleet the largest privately owned in the twin cities area, consists of transit, large motor coaches, and cut away E450 style mini coaches. to this date the fleet has been using the Rev-X oil additive and fuel additive with great results. I've take our drain intervals and double the mileage. most larger busses have 16k drain intervals and the others are at 10k. note that oil changes are followed up with oil analysis to make sure oil quality is not compromised. This change in our P.M. schedule has save our company alot of money and and labor time. Now let me boast about the fuel additive {Distance + and Distance + WT}. We see temps. plummet in the winter months, as cold as -31. last Nov. through Feb. the company used NO winter Treated fuel or artic blend. In 9 weeks, 11 loads @52500 gallons total, we used only #2 diesel 2% bio blend, treating with Distance+ WT 1 gallon per 1500 gallon of fuel. Our company had NO freeze ups or fuel gel issues. in that time span the company saved enough money to pay for the product and pocket over 2500.00 in savings over the price of having to purchase Artic or winter treated fuels. believe me I love boasting about that!!! I know what the company will be using coming up next winter season. we also use the Distance + the rest of the year, to help bring up the Cetane rating, the detergent quality, and increased lubricity isssue of the fuels that are availible now days, Minnesota has mandated that fuel be at 5% bio since May of 2009, other users of the 5% bio product have been bothered with problems, Our company is running stong and with no delays due to any fuel issues. I can keep going on and on, THE PRODUCTS WORK. any questions you or your company need to contact the Lubrication Specialties people.

Hi guys. I'm just back from my vacation to Dallas. Hot and miserable is all I can say about Texas. Oh yea, don't forget about the tornado's. We drove right into one out side of Amarillo. The truck ran great. If you remember, this was our first trip with the 2001 Superduty and a 25' fifth wheel. Going by my ScanGaugeII, we started the trip with 19.5 MPG. After 2000 miles we were at a steady 14.4. We left the northern Az climate and just went east to Amarillo to take 287 down to Fort Worth. We returned in the same fashion. I would like to know what kind of mileage you guys get towing a trailer on the open road. Is 14.4 good for a 2001 7.3 Superduty with 147000 miles on it? I'm about to do an oil sample with Blackstone. I have almost 4000 miles on this oil and am curious about what it's like. Thanks for following along with me on this trip. Don't forget to let me know what kind of mileage you get towing. Thanks. Roger
