mite be a dropped valve or bad injector, should be under warranty tho
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living

I am doing major overhaul on 2005. Dropped oil pressure for second and then was shut off. Guy bought used with chip in it. Smoked the pistons and rings too. Have injectors tested and compression done. Pull oil out check for metal shaving too. These model trucks are famous for dropping intake valves.Dodge blames wrong fuel filter lets trash in injectors, shut one side of spray pattern will cut valve and or piston.Thought was bull have done 4 so far with this use correct filer not 2002 and earlier.
