my dad is trying to tell me that dodge makes a 1500 diesel and he also thinks that they make an 8 cylinder diesel motor.... i told him that they only make 5.9 and lately 6.7 and they only make 12 valve and 24 valve and diesel is only put in 2500 and 3500. please make an imput

their is supposed to be a 1500 developed but i believe its a long weigh off. none of the cummins motors i have seen or own have been anything larger then a inline 6 and have semi trucks besides my pick ups.
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living

Dodge was going to make a 1500 diesel but it got canned in the bankruptcy deal between the "old" Chrysler and the "new" Chrysler. It looks like Cummins has the engine built but with the financial craziness Chrysler didn't want to put it on the market and cost them money.
Give it a couple more years .... I think once Ford's new Scorpion diesel comes to market there will be a Dodge half ton diesel soon after.
