does a heavy duty injector pump fit on a 82 or an 83 6.2l?

The fast answer is yes. Don't believe they started making the 6.2 until 83 but I've been wrong before. The mounting, pump drive gear and firing order are the same from the 1983 6.2 through the 01 6.5 whether it be mechanical or electronic.
