i was wondering how big i could go height and width wise without rubbing without lifting my truck cause those stock tires just dont fill up the wheel wells i had a set of good year wrangler mt's in mind i think they were 305/70/17 they said they were 34 inches tall and the tread width was 10.5 inches these should fit with the stock wheel offset without rubbing right ? does anyone have these tires? do they howl going down the road ?

If you stick with an all terrain and the factory offset wheels, you can get by with 315/70R17 which are essencially a 35 x 12.50. Mudders with aggressive tread blocks on the sides of the tires may require a 2" leveling kit to clear the same size. I have 33 x 12.50's on my truck.

I-6 Cummins guys are keepin' it straight. Those other boys swing both ways.

I have a set of BFG KO's 315/70/17 on my stock wheels with no lift. They ride fine and do not rub, I did go down to a load range D though.

Yes you can get by without a lift on the front but I would put a 3" leveling kit on. Thats what I have on mine and it looks alot better but you will need to get longer shocks. Go to TOPGUNCUSTOMZ.COM they will have what you need. Those NITTO'S are going to be very loud when you put some miles on them, I also had some of those a while back and will never have them again. I would try TOYO M/T or DICK CEPEK M/T. I currently have the DICK CEPEK M/T (35x12.5x17) not loud at all and ride very good for a mud tire.
