allison tansmission going in limp mode

I have a 2003 Duramax with an allison transmission. When I am going down the road in 5th gear the transmission will jump out of gear and go into limp mode. I do pull a load every day but it does it when I am not pulling a load also. I do have a bully dog programmer on it, but took it off and it still does it. Can anyone help?
