as long as it will do as much as the ctd or better and handle the abuse, along with the towing mileage, then it doesnt matter to me

That's a heavy engine .... 1400 pounds? Wow, I can see why those numbers are so nice now.

I think Dodge has a lot of brand loyalty due to the availability of the Cummins itself. But it seems like there are no "sacred cows" under Fiat management. I hope the Cummins sticks around for a while, but if this were to show up under the hood of the Ram with 500 hp and 875 lb./ft., I wouldn't argue.

here's the question if Ram would pull out the cummins & stick this in where would cummins go? do ppl buy dodge/ram cummins for the truck or the motor cause if it ended in a ford or chevy or even a yota what?

i would figure they would go with a mercadies benz diesel .. the mbe3000 is what they put in freightliners and they are very reliable
