BOUGHT MY FIRST DIESEL 9 MONTHS AGO 2004 FORD F250 PSD. NO PROBLEMS UNTIL ABOUT A WEEK AND HALF AGO THE WATER IN FUEL LIGHT CAME ON. I DRAINED IT BUT IT KEPT COMING BACK ON. I CONTINUED DRAINING AND CHANGED FILTERS, LIGHT CONTINUED COMING ON SO I ADDED SOME DIESEL KLEEN (LIGHT CONTINUED COMING ON). A FEW DAYS AGO WHILE DRIVING IT FELT LIKE I RAN OVER THE RUMBLE STRIPS ALONGSIDE THE INTERSTATE FOR JUST A SECOND ALTHOUGH I HAD NOT, AND A LITTLE FARTHER IT REALLY STARTED VIBRATING HARD AND RUNNING REALLY BAD. AS I SLOWED DOWN IT DIED. AFTER ABOUT 1 HOUR I GOT IT TO START BY HITTING THE PEDAL REAL FAST AND MOVED IT OFF THE ROAD. HAD IT TOWED HOME AND REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND NEW FILTERS AGAIN, BUT IT WILL ONLY TURN OVER AND WONT START. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? It would be nice to know if your system is primed yet, and if it's up to pressure. Where are you located?

my truck wouldn't start either and it had to be towed to the garage.it was the cam sensor , it would turn over but wouldn't fire. the part was $45 and labour was like $160. try it and good luck.i also have the same truck ,ford really needs to do something for us 6.0 owners ,hell will freeze before that happens i guess.

NO GAUGES, I CRACKED THE PLUG ON THE ENGINE MOUNTED FUEL FILTER HOUSING AND GOT SOME AIR OUT THAT WAY. AFTER I PUT THE NEW PUMP ON I COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE IN FUEL GETTING TO THAT FILTER HOUSING BUT STILL NO START. I WAS TOLD IF THE TACH DOES NOT JUMP WHEN YOU TRY TO START IT ITS PROBABLY NOT THE CAM SENSOR BUT I DONT KNOW FOR SURE.

unplug the icp sensor and see if it fires. sounds like your not making high pressure oil. need to hook it up to a scanned.
