97 to 98 is probably best 2nd gen 93 is best 1st gen
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living

what about the other years such as a 94-96 and why are they better also is it true the manual comes with more hp stock

manuals do come with more hp due to auto's not taking the torque. late 96 thru 98 had the best p-pump

94-98.5 is the years for the P7100 mech. pump. this is the best for running all types of fuel. the pump is lubed from the engine oil. and not the diesel fuel like all others.
this is the best engine for stump pulling power.
Cummins Everytime.
