People hear it all the time.

So-and-so has a X brand tuner stacked with Y brand pressure box...

That makes sense, but only for the Cummins croud.

Tuners have not figured out a way to get all the way into the Cummins ECU and adjust all of the parameters. That's why they have boxes, programmers, foolers, and such.

You may have X brand's "pressure box", that increases fuel pressure to the rail. Then have X brand's "timing box" which will increase timing, and so on and so forth. I don't exactly understand it all because I'm not an expert on the CR Cummins motor.

Now...

Power Stroke tuners have FULL control of the ECU. 7.3, 6.0, and 6.4.

There's NO NEED to "stack" on a PSD. As a matter of fact. Stacking can sometimes make your truck run WORSE.

There's only SO MUCH fuel you can get out of a 7.3, or 6.0. That's just the way the HEUI injection system works.

Best bet is custom tunes. They will get MAXIMUM power out of your setup, and often cost LESS than two X brand "chips". Not only that, but a properly custom tuned device, whether it be chip or programmer will let your transmission live longer under increased HP levels.

Bottom line is, it's your vehicle, do what you want, but read me carefully when I tell you that you CAN blow up a diesel, even at stock power levels.
