Having auto trans on 1991.5 D250 opened up as theres some slippage. Wondering what all I should consider doing to it no matter what they find. Truck is stock at this time. 12 valve intercooled Cummins. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Looking to tow up to 15,000 lbs only once in a while and not that far a distance.

maybe a better valve body and torque converter
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living

Tighten the bands, check the clutches.
New TC.
VB mod if you can do it on an auto that old.
