Can I Put J-Code Exhaust Manifolds On a C-Code Engine

Hi guys i was wondering if i could put J-Code Exhaust Manifolds on a C-Code Engine the only differences are The J-Code dosn't have a heat riser valve. do i really need that valve & will the other Manifolds fit? Thanks in Adv need to know ASAP
