Just recently had a new water pump and head gasket put on and to me i think my truck still runs a little warm when i hook a tralior to it straight up on my truck the temp is 200 then all the way hot is 245 it runs around 215 or so when im hooked up. Is this about normal or how do yalls trucks run. Without a tralior it runs a little under 200.

depends on the load mine will run 215 on a hot day but stays around 200. mods will cause a temp increase
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living

Blast out the radiator at your local car wash.  You'll find a lot of road grime, bugs, etc., that will come out of the radiator and this might be the fix you need.

When you replaced the water pump, did you swap out the thermostat?  Sounds like they might have replaced it with a stock temp rating, which IIRC is around 185 or 190 degrees.

I'd swap it out with a lower rated thermostat, like 165-170 degree, and it should improve your temps.
