help  the last couple days my truck has been blowing white smoke, mainly in just the lower gears, and under 2000 rpms. it sounds like it kind of bogs down and and it just starts billowing out. what could be the problem?? i just replaced the fuel filter. but could it be the lift pump, or the injector/injectors failing. it has 157k on it. or could it just be out of timing? i dont know a whole lot about diesel , but i need some apinions. please

try running some cleaner thru it could be a sticking injector, need to keep an eye on your fuel pressure and see what its doing when this happens. also try to seee if their are any codes
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living
