I read about the swap in this forum. The 50 was offered with a diesel from the
factory. i would look in the junk yards for one. and look in auto trader for one
that is a fixer upper.

mitibishi had a litle turbo diesel in the mid 80's their trucks should be the same
I burn more diesel and run more miles in a week the most of you people do in a month. ctds that have been used 97 3500, 98.5 3500, 98.5 3500,01 3500, 03 3500. those that are being used 06 3500, 07 3500. and yea these trucks earn their living

I'm assuming your truck is a gasser right now? That's correct, the Ram 50 is essentially the same as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max, and there was a factory diesel option. I actually found some cool/unusual D50 swaps/mods on YouTube.
