I looked around and couldn't find one. A good option would be an EGT gauge just so that you could watch the EGT's come down, (which they usually do pretty quickly at idle) before you shut off the motor.

For pretty close to the same price as a turbo timer, viper sells an alarm with auto start, a built in turbo timer, a self starting system built in that starts your vehicle when the voltage drops to a certain level, or the temperature get down to a set level, and it also has a two way pager that works up to a mile away. if you look around on ebay, they are real reasonable. jd

Sounds like a nice option. I might look at that for mine! I've got to get some type of security, especially since the break-in...

Its really nice to have. The autostart will scare the heck out of you at 330 in the morning when your truck starts for no reason( i didnt know it had the cold start feature) the first night it was installed, which, by the way was a week after one of my trucks was stolen from my house! The model # is viper 5901 lc3. its on ebay for $240 with free shipping, and a lifetime warranty. JD

This is really good info!
For the Viper alarm, is there a specific model number to look for? I'd like to get this for both of my trucks.

the 5901 is the one i have. there is a 5903( i think thats the model), and the only difference is the display on the keychain remote is high definition. but its an awesome system. i can hit the autostart while the truck is running, pull the keys and go in the store or unlock a truck box, or whatever i need to do and the truck sets there running( i have my run time set for 12 minutes), i get back in turn the key to the on position and touch the brakes and its back to normal. jd
