hi. I got a 1997 chevy 1500 z71 ex cab. and chevy made a 1/2 ton diesel in the 90s. well im goin to try(well i hope i can try) to put the 6.5l that came in them in my truck. i got the 5.7 in mine now. what do i need. i kno i need a motor,new diesel fuel lines. wat else i need. im new to the whole diesel thing. but i wana be a part of the diesel family. I love the tork and power u can get out of a diesel motor. Could someone help me Plz.

You won't get torque or power out of a 6.5L.
