Interested in doing some pump mods and just wondering about possible complications with mod-ing the pump such as runaway etc. Thanks

If it is intercooled, you can turn the fuel screw all the way in and be ok. If you are non intercooled, they have a longer fuel screw so you need to leave them backed out a bit. Make sure you adjust the idle down some before you start it for the first time after adjustment. Have a 2x4 ready to block off the intake of the turbo in case it decides to run away. You can also remove the top of the pump and turn the fuel pin 90* to the right or buy am aftermarket fuel pin. Then maybe add a 3200rpm governor spring.

Alright thanks and with an aftermarket fuel pin or not turning the fuel screw all the way in are the chances of runaway less likely?

Aftermarket fuel pin wont help prevent a runaway, won't cause a runaway either. I have never had one run away by bottoming the fuel screw out then backing the screw out a half turn so long as the idle was turned down. I did a couple of I/C engines that don't run away with the screw bottomed out and the idle turned down. Its because the non I/C pumps have a longer fuel screw and thus go in farther.
