how mch money would i be spending all together for new piston rings and installation

Rings alone cannot be replaced.

I think what he's trying to say here is simply replacing the rings won't solve your issues. You need to find out why you need to replace them, especially if there is cylinder wall damage, and then have the walls honed. Once that's done, you'll need to find the correct piston/ring combo since you'll be slightly oversized now and if you use the wrong piston/ring combo you'll end up with more damage from the piston not fitting properly and causing what is known as "piston slap".
Piston slap is well known in 4 cylinder engines but can happen when the piston and cylinder walls are outside the proper tolerance and the piston "slaps" the walls of the cylinder while the engine is running.
